Long-Distance Movers from San Diego, CA

Marco Salas leads our out-of-town runs up I-5 and I-15 and east on I-8. Whoever shrink-wraps your San Diego place is the same crew that carries it in at the other end — nothing routed through a freight terminal, nobody else's truck in between.

The owner picks up, not a call center

Ring the office and you get Cole, or a mover who actually rides the trucks — never a scripted script-reader. Flag the long canyon-lot carry up from the street, the La Jolla building that wants a certificate of insurance, or the Pacific Beach block where parking is permit-only, and the day is mapped out before your date arrives.

Your price is set in writing first

The number comes off a room-by-room walkthrough, with the wardrobe boxes, moving pads, dollies and shrink-wrap already folded in — so nothing new shows up on the bill once the crew is parked at the curb.

Pack it all, or only what breaks

Turn the whole kitchen over for dish barrels, let wardrobe cartons lift your closet across on the hangers, or just point out the mirrors, TVs and glass tabletops we build fitted crates around for the drive.

One crew, first door to last

The crew chief who sizes up your home at the estimate is the one driving the truck and walking the empty rooms with you at the end — a North Park bungalow, an Oceanside beach apartment or a downtown Gaslamp high-rise on the freight elevator, nothing changes hands halfway.

Our long hauls mostly leave San Diego northbound on I-5 and I-15 or eastbound on I-8. The same uniformed crew stays with the shipment door to door — loading it, driving it and unloading it — so it never waits out a layover at a transfer terminal and never gets handled by movers you have not met.

Lanes we run most from San Diego

  • Up I-5 to Orange County, Los Angeles and the coast
  • North to the Bay Area and Sacramento
  • East on I-8 to Phoenix and across Arizona
  • Out I-15 to Las Vegas and the Southwest

Any move leaving California runs under our CPUC household-goods authority in state and the federal US DOT and MC authority the interstate leg requires, with the company bonded and insured throughout. Basic coverage at 60 cents per pound comes free on every load; prefer your things valued at full worth? Step up to full-value and a single shipment is covered up to $1,000,000, with a nine-month window from the delivery date to bring any claim.

Part of Every Move

Everything on this list is built into the way our crews run a job — none of it turns up later as a surprise line at the bottom of your bill.

  • The same uniformed San Diego crew stays on your shipment the whole way — loaded, driven and delivered, no terminal swap
  • We haul under CPUC authority in California and federal US DOT and MC authority once we cross the line, bonded and fully insured
  • One flat price, worked out from weight and distance and signed off before load day, no clock
  • Wood, upholstery and electronics wrapped and padded for the long haul up the coast or out to the desert
  • Standard released-value coverage at no charge, plus an optional full-value plan good to $1,000,000 on a shipment
  • Regular runs to Los Angeles, Orange County, the Bay Area, Sacramento, Phoenix and Las Vegas
  • We rebuild the furniture and walk the whole place with you once we reach the far door

Answers to the Usual Questions

How far out of San Diego do you run, and which routes?
All over the Southwest and up the coast. Marco runs regular lanes up I-5 to LA and Orange County, north to the Bay Area and Sacramento, east on I-8 to Phoenix, and out I-15 to Las Vegas. Tell us the destination and we'll price the whole haul as one flat figure.
I've got PCS orders and I'm moving out of state — can you take that on?
We do PCS moves often. From the bases around San Diego — Miramar, 32nd Street, North Island or up at Camp Pendleton — we clear the gate access on the load end and drive straight through to your new duty station in Arizona, Nevada or up the coast, one crew the whole way. Ask about a personally procured (PPM) move when you call.
Does hauling my move out of state put you under federal licensing?
Yes. As long as the load stays inside California it falls under our CPUC household-goods authority; the instant it crosses the state line, federal US DOT and MC authority takes over. Either way, we stay bonded and fully insured.
If something's damaged on the drive, how am I covered and how long do I have to file?
Every shipment includes released-value coverage free of charge, at 60 cents the pound. Want more? Prefer fuller coverage? Choose the full-value plan and a single shipment can be insured up to $1,000,000. Either way, an interstate move gives you nine months from delivery to put a claim in.
Does my stuff get swapped onto another truck somewhere along the way?
Never. The crew that pads and loads your San Diego place is the same crew that carries it in at the far door. Your shipment doesn't stop at a warehouse, doesn't get re-sorted at a terminal, and no outside driver ever touches it between here and Phoenix or the Bay.

How Your Move Day Unfolds

  1. 1

A written number the same day

On our end: Tell us the room count, whether it is a street-level carry or a haul up from a canyon-lot curb, and how parking looks on your block — and a figure in writing usually reaches your inbox before we lock the office for the night.

Where you help: Have both dates in hand, the day you are out and the day you are in, plus any gate, garage or HOA access codes; that is what turns a ballpark into a firm price.

  2. 2

    Date locked, access sorted

On our end: Before move day we reserve the loading zone or pull a parking permit, hold the elevator window at your condo or high-rise, and clear the certificate of insurance with your HOA or building office — so the truck lands at the door and nobody carries a dresser half a block.

Where you help: Give us the two anchor dates — the day you have to be out and the day you can get in — and flag which of the two simply will not budge.

  3. 3

    Pad, wrap, label, carry

On our end: Every dresser and sofa goes under moving blankets and a layer of stretch film, and the hardware off each bed frame and table is bagged, labeled and taped to the piece it belongs to.

Where you help: Mark your own boxes with the room they land in at the new place, and keep passports, keys and small valuables in your own car rather than on the truck.

  4. 4

Unpack the truck, room by room

On our end: The crew that filled the truck is the crew that empties it — every piece landed where you want it, bed frames reassembled, and all the spent wrap and tape carried back out with us.

Where you help: Before the truck rolls, walk the emptied rooms with the crew chief while anything that needs a touch-up still can get one.

What does a San Diego move actually cost?

Send over the size of the home, the date you are aiming for, and a rough idea of what is coming along, and a written estimate lands in your inbox that same day. No deposit and nothing due up front — just a number solid enough to plan the whole move around.

  • Licensed and insured — we carry California Public Utilities Commission household-goods moving authority on jobs inside the state, and pick up US DOT and MC authority the moment a load crosses the California line
  • The figure you approve is the figure the crew works to — it comes off a real room-by-room count, not a number guessed from the street
  • Each mover wears our uniform, is on our own W-2 payroll, and drives a company-owned truck
